Perhaps after the battle, the childer can come out to steal the corpses and their loot and one or both sides has to deal with them then. Perhaps one of the warring parties tries to ally with or use a childer tribe as mercenaries to attack the other side at night? Just spitballing. Happy to do my own thing if you guys'd rather fight this out among yourselves. Great writing all around, btw.
