The twins making their way north into Route 1, end up running into a Pidgey. Neko takes out his pokedex, [i]"A common sight in forests and woods. It flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand."[/i] He sends out his Bulbasaur. "Use Tackle!" he demanded. A direct hit.

The Pidgey flaps its wings, sending sand flying at Bulbasaur. Its accuracy is lowered. "All right another Tackle!" Bulbasaur misses the attack. The Pidgey takes the place of the attacker, using Tackle as well. "Try again!" Bulbasaur charges at Pidgey and hits.

Neko throws a pokeball at the wild Pidgey. Once. Twice. The pokeball opens back up. Aww! It appeared to be caught! The Pidgey flew away before Neko could get a chance to capture it. "Dang it" He said, bummed about his first chance at being able to catch a Pokemon being a failure. "Don't worry, you can always get the next, Neko." She assures him. "Well, not the next, that's mine." She laughs. They continue on their way through route 1.
