For a summary, The Iron Roses were dispatched to eliminate a band of bandits who had been attacking nearby towns and murdering both civilians and soldiers. They succeeded, though they lost a knight to the leader of the bandits, a man known as the Three-Hundred Man Slayer. After returning to Aimlenn to imprison the remaining bandits and return the dead knight's body so it can be buried, as well as have some comic relief, the captain was invited to a party held by the Princess of Thaln. She accepted and brought along some of her knights as well.

There, the party proceeded normally aside from a few arguments, until an assassin made an attempt on the Princess's life. She was captured and revealed to be both mute and doing this in an attempt to save her sister, who was being held by a group of conspirators threatening to kill her if the assassin failed.

The Iron Roses tracked the conspirators to a tomb, holding family members of the now-dead Phoran Cal, a rebellious noble who had killed the previous Iron Rose Captain. They've killed most of the conspirators now, except for the leader, a Necromancer, and a lightning mage, in the bottom chamber.
