[@Aristo] Accepted. [@Disciple Cain] Annnnnnnnd accepted. Okay now it's about time I looked to getting this thing started. Originally, I had an existing idea of how this RP would start, way back when I assumed I'd get about 4 or 5 players. WELP, we've certainly got a bit more than that, which means my original intention of a starting with a general "character meet and greet" might accidentally kill the RP, because of the sheer amount of time it might take characters to fully interact with each other. So now I'm favouring a scenario that starts immediately with explosive action, but settles towards a brief calm so that characters converse outside of a "sword in throat" environment. But this is a big group, and at this point, I feel it'd be unwise for me to simply plod on without testing for a consensus. So here's two possible scenarios (withholding plot spoilers), and I'd like to know what you guys would prefer? Intro Scenario A) The ships of the second armada make landfall upon the arid coastline of ,south-western Everstrine, and the RP starts as our champions and regiments are disembarking. The champions then set about planning their approach to Sandbrick, who to send as scouts, who goes left, right etc etc and then after the discussion they go on their way. My concern with this idea, as it was the original one, is that as we have so many players people might get bored by what could be quite a drawn out conversation. Intro Scenario B) It has been three days since Alliance forces landed in Everstrine, and they have been marching hastily without little rest towards Sandbrick, after receiving news that it was about to fall. As the combined champions and regiments press onwards, zig-zagging through the endless dunes that make up much of south-western Everstrine, they are suddenly ambushed by *BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP* and a desperate battle breaks out almost immediately - which is where my intro will end. Thoughts?
I honestly like the B scenario more because the action immediately starts. Though, small question: will this be a player-driven RP (aka the players can make up what happens and such) with supervision? Or will there be a plotline everyone has to follow?
