James and Elyra
collaboration with [@shadow Daedalus] Elyra heard James' voice and she ran to the door and flung it open. She looked at him covered in blood and pulled him inside. She reached up and kissed him and asked him, "Are you hurt? Is this all other people's blood?" "Most of it, at least." He pulled off his leather glove and gently placed his hand against her cheek. "I'm fine, don't worry. A few scrapes here and there aren't enough to do any real damage." He smiled, giving her a quick hug. Before he could say anymore, a shadow in the corner of the room seemed to warp into a cloaked figure as time seemed to slow. "Leave tonight if you wish to survive. Leave tonight if you want to continue in your lie. Leave tonight for the Hunter is here. Leave tonight or perish at the hand of Fate." James held Elyra a little tighter as he was about to growl at the figure, but with a wave of their hand his vision faded to darkness. Everything was blurred and grey as he looked around to see that he was no longer in the Inn. Instead he had to helplessly watch as the members of his group were slaughtered by some kind of nightmarish... creature, one by one until it finally pounced on him. Through his dying eyes, he watched as it faded away, as if a ghost or illusion, until he finally gave into the darkness. James's eyes snapped open, quickly searching the Inn room but seeing no sign of the figure. He looked down at the elven woman in his arms and gently squeezed her as he kissed the crown of her head. Elyra had moved into James' arms and then the vision started and by the end of it she was wiping tears from her eyes. "James? Did you see it too? Obviously it is some kind of illusion. Why would someone send that to us? Do you think it's really a prediction of the future if we don't leave tonight or is it someone messing with us to get us away from the caravan?" She had too many questions running around in her mind. "What happens if we leave and it's a trap?" James was silent for a moment as he calmed the rampant emotions in his own head before he spoke. His voice was worried, but hard. "Then we'll fight, and we'll win." Wiping any stray tears from her eyes, he quickly checked her over to make sure none of the blood on him got onto her. The action sparked a reminder for why he had originally came to see her. "Ah, my gear? I need to get these washed and I can't wander around in my underwear..." Elyra smiled and grabbed his bag. "I brought them up I figured we would be staying together. I hoped that was okay." She sighed and started gathering her things and packing them back into her bags. It only took a minute and she looked at him. "Go ahead, the bath is part of the room charge." She pointed to the private bathroom. "I would have liked to room together, I just wasn't sure about... you know... customs and such..." He looked away, uncharacteristically shy. "I'll keep that in mind, if there's ever a next time." He stepped into the bathroom after pulling the towel out of his bag before he removed his clothes and quickly washed himself of the last remaining blood, before quickly setting to work removing the stains from his clothes. Once he was satisfied he had gotten as much as he could out of the clothing, he rang them out and quickly changed into a new set. Stuffing the mostly dry clothes into his bag, he grabbed his coat and weapons from his room and did the same to his coat before using his gauntlet to pass a small charge though his coat, evaporating the last of the water. Pulling his now dry coat and scarf over his shoulders, he grabbed his bag and walked over to Elyra. "We should collect the others, or warn them if they don't already know." She nodded and grabbed the travois and cleared all of the supplies onto it and double checked the room. Her next stop was only a couple of doors down to Maren's room. She was amused to find Maren and Aelar laughing over a game of cards. Elyra looked at Maren oddly. "Did you not get the warning vison too?" Maren nodded "Yes we did but we hadn't unpacked anything so we just played cards til you came to get us." Elyra figured she would never understand her cousin fully. She looked at her and smiled half heartedly. Maren put her stuff on the travois and she grabbed one side of it and helped Elyra pull it til they got out to the horse. They got the horse ready and hooked the travois and supplies to it and they waited for the others. [@Ashevelendar][@dabombjk][@caits][@venku][@gareth][@king tai]
