Within the envelope, the handwriting isn't much better, but they're small drawings of Pokemon on the sides of the text, and there's a detailed sketch of a Butterfree on the back of the paper. Although drawn with black ink, they all look realistic and well drawn, showing off the talent of the writer/artist. Greeting Professor Juniper, My name is Matthew Layton, I'm 16 years old. I currently live in Ecruteak City, with my Grandmother and Mother, but I am willing to travel all the way to New Bark Town to become a Pokemon Trainer, as it is a great opportunity for me. (The first drawing on the margins is a Clefairy waving at the reader) I may lack the experience of Pokemon Training, but I am willing to learn how. Being a Pokemon Trainer would go a great way to help me become a better artist, which is what I aspire to be. To be an artist. But with my current life, I lack the muse and inspiration to draw anything more than small doodles on the margin of my homework at school. But when I heard of you calling for people to go and become Pokemon Trainer, I was inspired for the first time in a long time to draw my Grandmother's Butterfree which you could see on the back of this page. If just hearing about the opportunity to become a Trainer inspired me to draw, I can't imagine what being on the routes with a Pokemon next to me will do! (The second drawing is a cartoon of Matthew clasping his hands together in a begging manner.) But besides my love of drawing, I care deeply for Pokemon. I help take care of my Grandmother's team, like feeding them, washing and cleaning up after them, and taking them to the Pokemon center when they get hurt. My Grandmother and my Mother used to be Pokemon Trainers, I always looked up to them, and I loved hearing their stories of their Trainer days, I always wanted to be a Pokemon Trainer when I was a kid, but I never had the opportunity before now. And being a Pokemon trainer will not only let me live my childhood dream, but I can feel it will help me with my future dreams of becoming an artist. But I feel this letter has taken enough of your time, I just hope you consider me to become a Pokemon trainer, it would do me the world if you picked me to be a trainer. But that's up to you and I will wait for your response. Thank you kindly for your time and hopefully your consideration. Sincerely, Matthew [/hider]
