“Try not to take it to heart?” Aston repeated with a simple grin on his face, “She called me young man instead of little bugger or weird kid. I’ll take young man over any of those any day.” Despite how he may act, Aston had an childhood of bullying and being picked on by the kids of his school. His brand of special talent classified him as a weirdo because no one else could see or understand the animals which left room for enough speculation that he was considered either a liar or a weirdo. But that never stopped him from enjoying life and his time in school, what few friends he had were good people. He looked from the ribbon to her and gave her a gentle smile, “15 copper.” Sure he was short changing himself but he had a reason. “And I’ll throw in this green fabric for free.” He pulled the fabric that matched her friends from the rack and handed it to her. “I ask something from you in return for its freed price. When you venture to the lake or stream to wash your fabrics, take this with you and be next to your friend. Wash your fabrics at the same time and observe. And remind her that spells have to be casted with a wand and I am without a wand or any magical items.” When she accepted and he took her money he stayed for the rest of the day before departing. In a week’s time he had returned to the little town, the last shop in the row but hopefully, more customers this time. And hopefully he was right to suspect the man and maybe… just maybe he would see her again. [@Light the Dark]
