[@DarkRecon] Seems like variations on a theme. Robo pilot who sometimes shows some personality. Part of a shadowy covert squad in the past, nobody knows anything about it, except for some people. Also, giving the extreme measures given to deserters on the battlefield, if six did just run off and showed up anywhere near anything military related I'm fairly certain it would have been a kill on sight sort of situation. Personally, I understand wanting to make a different character if you don't like something about Mai, this is a great opportunity, but almost all of the back history is the same. Also, he disapproves of projects like the homunculus project, because they don't produce effective pilots, but then is turning people into machines in order to try and get them to be kill machines doesn't make much sense because as a pilot Mai came in on the ground level like Sigma and the rest of us, no better no worse, your secret T system didn't work, and look at the lack of discipline coming from Six. He up and leaves where ever he was supposed to be in order to go see Mai.

So, personally, if I were going to make a different character, then I would make a [i]different[/i] character. Though, some adjustments to make to Six would be that on hearing that Mai was in a coma he requested a leave of absence to go visit her. While in the hospital visiting her, Six could run into Lorenzo or Ritsu or something along those lines and request to be transferred once again, this time to our squad. That would at least clear up the kill-on-sight desertion issue.
