After sitting down on the bench Addica pulled his backpack off and set it next to him. Watching his fellow students leave he stuck his hand in his pocket searching for his earbuds. Just as his hand closed around the earbuds the red-headed girl that Addica had approached earlier called out to him asking if he wanted to come with them to the opening ceremony. [i]"Is this how life works? You stop trying and then you get what you were after... or maybe I was just trying too hard"[/i] Addica thought to himself. Relinquishing the grip on the earbuds he quickly stood up, grabbed his pack and called back as he slid the pack onto his back, "That sounds quite wonderful," smiling at the prospect of potential friends.
