Cover is not so much blown as it is rapidly disintegrating. As far as our Krogans are concerned, they may simply think he is a violent drunk who needs to be put down before he cause more damage. The patroling guy Drono did lead to him now dodging people looking for him. But the storm/hacking/general krogan mayhem likely add to the confusion as to who just shot one of their guys.
