Anyway, you wanna be scared, I'm a bit scary even to me. I'm trying to write young adult superhero fiction, and my brain just went "you should kill the main character's first love interest, then imprison her and submit her to psychological torture until she doesn't trust anything she sees and hears, so when her friends come to rescue her she won't leave."
