Timeframe is different, but it sounds like we have similar backstories in terms of not RPing for a while due to communities going under, though admittedly I still role-played a bit using my project's setting with a couple of people occasionally over various IMs until they sort of all became shit programs. As it turns out, we're both Australian as well. I'm from Sydney myself.
