Said toned body is littered with a lovely mish-mash of scars – one doesn't get infected by a Werewolf without receiving more than a few, after all. Most are across his torso, sides and arms, ranging from jagged bite marks to scratches in groups of three and four; not all of them are from Wesley. Sometimes if he had a bad change and there's nothing nearby to maul, he takes it out on himself. Better him than anyone else, in his opinion. However, his face has remained unmarred from werewolf attacks; and any scars or blemishes, really. There is a small one atop his head (received from climbing a tree or something when he was a clumsy kid), but it's hidden behind thick, wavy hair – depending on how much sun it's seen and how short it is, the colour can range from a rich honey brown to a coppery, dark blonde. His fringe is usually swept upwards, allowing his slim brows and bright blue eyes to be seen quite clearly. In terms of style and grooming, Garrett doesn't put a lot of effort into looking good – his hair is easily tameable; usually running a hand through it will relieve him of a bedhead; it's rare to see his chiseled jawline covered in stubble – not much of it grows, and when it does, it's gone. He couldn't cope with a beard. As for clothes, he just wears the usual casual stuff outside of school uniform. Tennis shoes or boots, jeans, t-shirts, etc. Garrett had an abundance of sweaters – made for him by his mother, who seemed to be under the impression that he hated his scars and wanted to cover them up at all times – not particularly the case, considering how often he walks around shirtless. (Usually when he rolls out of bed, just won a Quidditch match, or is really getting into a passionate rock song or something; the latter usually accompanied by a wild air guitar, headbanging, jumping on tables, and several detentions from the pissed-off Professors.) One thing he does keep on him at all times is a braided leather bracelet – totally battered and worn, only being kept together by regular bouts of repairing magic. It belonged to his brother, so he won't let it go. For those who grew up in the Muggle world, they were probably used to jumpscares in video games. Garrett was not quite so ready when he was introduced to gaming by a Muggleborn friend. Since seeing those animatronic monsters, they take the form of his Boggart. To counter the fiends before they rip him apart and probably eat his soul or something wild like that, the riddikulus charm makes the limbs and heads fall from the bodies, pathetic squeaks coming from the heads as they try to reassemble themselves – failing quite humorously indeed.
F A M I L I A R:

Hawk; Garrus. Garrett loves his hawk, and his hawk loves him. At least, that's what he assumes when the derpy bird jumps about excitedly on his shoulder while he's waiting for a letter or treat. The talons leave marks, but it's such a damn cool pet Garrett doesn't care.

ESSENCE
P E R S O N A L I T Y:
If one were to meet Garrett for the first time, and be in a room with him for five minutes, you could easily come to the conclusion of "moron". He does stupid things for no apparent reason – if someone asked him to headbutt the a wooden wall to see if he could bust all the way through, he'd probably go for it. The boy would fistfight a dragon just to say to his friends that he did it. Not to mention the lack of seriousness hanging about him – the near constant stream of jovial comments, jokes, puns and sarcasm gives one the impression that he's without a care – or brain cell – in the world. However, he isn't stupid – he just doesn't care to think about the consequences of his actions, instead electing to throw himself head first into most situations. Regardless of what his parents might say, or his teachers, or even his friends – if something piques his interest he'll give it a go, no matter the potential danger. Even after the incident, he's retained this way of thinking, although is ever so slightly more apprehensive in more dangerous looking situations. Sometimes he thinks that if he weren't like this, the incident wouldn't have happened. But then, he wouldn't be Garrett either. So he lives with it cheerfully, for the most part; and he is a cheerful person. There isn't much that can bring him down – but this is not always to his advantage. Any psychologist could see his constant state of optimism and humour is just a defence mechanism; bringing on forms of denial when it comes to bad things. This in turn has lead to procrastination in his studies; a "mañana-mañana" sort of attitude when it comes to his responsibilities. This then turns to heavy stress down the road when he needs to make up for lost time – his friends have swiftly come to realise that when the exam season begins, Garrett is to be left to his own devices – otherwise, they'll have their heads bitten off in a uncharacteristic irritability. His deniability doesn't just stop at his schoolwork though – there are many things in his life that he hasn't truly accepted. On the outside, it may just seem like he's okay with it, but in all honesty, he isn't. Everything is repressed; his brother's death, his infection of Lycanthropy – even when the full moon comes around every month Garrett refuses to fully believe that this will be his life forever. And with no real cure on the horizon, it likely will be – when this truth does hit him, as it's already hit his cousin Wes, it could be very possible that he's changed forever.
R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S:
Garrett's never one to turn down some flirting, regardless of gender. Again, not much of it is serious – partly because of his own insecurities. He daren't go into a real relationship just in case something bad happens – he'd have to be really stupid to ignore the obvious threat of his lycanthropy.
L I K E S:

Jumpscares – Gets the heart pumping! And well, this comes hand in hand with all the horror games he's played on holiday. Curse you Levi!
Video games – It's not just the horror ones he enjoys; there's a multitude. From RPG's to FPS's; he's tried a few. Now what's the name of that one with the dragons, and the sassy dwarves?
Speed – Huh? Nah, not the drug, just going fast. Running, driving (Although never having driven a car himself, he's been in a few where speed limits were ignored.), and of course, flying. Chaser's gotta go fast for the quaffle y'know.
Puns – Mainly dog-like ones, and mainly within earshot of his cousin.
Muggle music – Another great thing that Levi and Rudy have introduced him to. The Killers are real good.
Indian food – Nothing too spicy, but he loves all the different flavours.
Whiskey – Not just Firewhiskey. The Muggle stuff is pretty good too, if you want something smooth.
Meat – He was a meat freak before the Werewolf shit started. Steak, ribs, chops – if you invite him to a barbeque, he's an absolute animal... pun intended.

D I S L I K E S:

Jumpscares – Yes, he has a love/hate relationship with them. Terrible for the heart, but the games are pretty addictive!
Being a Werewolf – What? He's not going to pretend he likes turning into a blood-thirsty canine man every full moon. He used to enjoy looking at the moon before! Now... not so much
Small spaces – He likes the open, outdoors, etc. Cupboards, nooks and crannies don't agree with him.
The Silencio charm - People use it on him a lot.
Maraschino cherries – God, just... why are they so sweet? Just have a regular cherry!
Hospitals – Or any clinical type area, even the sick bay makes him uncomfortable.
Swimming – He's not a big fan of the water.

H O B B I E S:

Playing his banjo
Building/Making things; through many mediums, basically whatever is at hand.
Saying shitty puns
Sneaking out into the nearby forest, to do some stuff n things.
Daydreaming
Playing video games/listening to muggle music – when he's able to around his Muggleborn friends' house, of course.
Bursting into song after hearing a familiar lyric in a nearby conversation – it could be a word or a phrase, doesn't take much to get him going. Not only restricted to corridors either; expect some outbursts in class.
Giving nicknames to people. They usually don't ask, and even if they don't like the given one, he probably won't change it. This applies to the Professor's too, but after several detentions from certain ones, he's stopped saying it to their faces.

F E A R S:

Being mutilated and ripped apart by freakin' haunted robots. Well... maybe not robots specifically – being brutally murdered in a gory and disgusting manner by anything wouldn't be great.
Losing control. Yeah, sounds cliché, but when you're a werewolf with some extreme issues with acceptance, losing control of your emotions is a scary thought. Especially if he hurt someone...
Claustrophobia. Garrett's a big guy, but he's pretty sure that even if he was small, he wouldn't like small, enclosed spaces. It's even worse when the full moon approaches.
Intimacy. The fear of letting someone in, and showing that he isn't all that jovial as he pretends to be. Because who would stay with him after learning about his true nature?
Drowning. Silly, he supposes here in the wizarding world where aid can come with the ease of a wand. But it's how his brother died, and the muggles couldn't save him – since then, Garrett hasn't been fond of water.

B A C K G R O U N D:
For the first couple of years in his life, nothing particularly tragic happened (Other than learning to speak; the jokes were coming at a young age) to Garrett. He had two loving parents, a great extended family, a brother – Carver - older than by him 4 years, and some awesome magical powers. Living where they did in Montana – a pretty big city – they integrated well enough with the Muggles. His parents figured they may as well put their kids into muggle elementary school before going to Salem - it was easier than home schooling anyway. They both worked, and they couldn't afford childcare for both of their kids. What could go wrong? Well, apparently everything could. Muggles have made leaps and strides in healthcare and medicine over the ages. But never to the level that magic could – the magic that could have pulled Carver out of the riptide during that school beach trip. The magic that could have created a bubble of air around his mouth and nose when pulled under water by the current. The magic that could have forced the water out of his lungs and airways once they got him back to the shore. The magic that could have saved his life... but the Muggles didn't have it. Nor did the 6 year old Garrett, who watched it all unfold without any hope of helping the brother in which he doted upon. Things were different after that. They moved back to rural Montana, closer to where his cousin Wesley and her family lived. The funeral was somber and dark – but the darkness stayed after they laid Carver to rest. Garrett's parents grew mistrustful of Muggles – not quite to the level of some Purebloods – but they could not forgive Carver's death. The remainder of Garrett's education was taught by his father, who had quit his job to look after the young boy. Contact with muggles was cut off – even for Garrett, who was forbidden from playing with the muggle children nearby – which wasn't particularly a struggle, as there weren't many other people living nearby. Just Wesley. Not that that was a bad thing – Garrett loved his cousin. She was like the sister his parents never gave him, and she played an even bigger part in his life after Carver died. Life was awesome with her around – except, a few months after his 8th birthday, she got... distant. Cold. Even her parents acted differently, and Garrett had no idea why. As the months passed they got a bit closer, but nobody would tell him what the issue was. As it happened, he found out by himself. Because he's real curious, and you know what curiosity did to the cat, don't you? In this case, it didn't kill the cat. Just mauled, scarred him for life, and infected it with lycanthropy. His aunt and uncle had a real fun time explaining it to his parents – honestly, they were more angry at Wesley's parents than her. As they said, it wasn't her fault she was a Werewolf; it wasn't her fault Garrett was a nosy piece of shit; and it wasn't her fault that her parents didn't put enough safe guards up. From there, Wes and Garrett struggled with their curse together – not that Garrett showed the struggle. He covered it up with jokes, and shitty humour – a lot of the time, it was just him acting as himself. But so many bad feelings were squashed down further and further until he was certain they would never resurface again. Integrating into Salem wasn't as hard as he first thought it would be – being a naturally amicable person, it was easy to make friends; among them Rudy Valentine, and then his younger brother Levi when he joined afterwards. Being Muggleborns, the Valentine's introduced him to a whole new world when inviting him over during the holidays. Garrett was enjoying life, and is still now – making sure to try and lighten up his cousin while goofing off too.
