[@FantasyChic] its more the history and powers you would need to know rather than the system, though some system structure would help. I'm not sure if this will get off the ground, let alone when, but if you are willing to research, there is plenty of lore online in wiki pages.  I can point you in the right direction if you are willing to do the foot work.
