Oh no! You are 4 months behind in the IC! How do you deal with the situation?

a) Read the IC posts, or at least their summaries. (which all players provide)
b) Explain in the situation in the OOC and request a general summary
[b]c) Post again in the IC anyway without caring that you are contradicting everything that has been established.[/b]

Thankfully the co-gms are lovely lenient folk (as long as it doesn't effect their characters.)
