Rose didn't sleep well either. She was thinking too much. Thinking of how to help the Doctor. When her mom came home sometime in the middle of the night. Rose explained as much as she thought she had the right to of the Doctor's situation. Jackie understood. She'd be there for Rose as Rose helped the Doctor. 

Early in the morning, long before the Doctor woke up Rose went to the library and spent a couple hours looking over text books about psychology. She knew she'd need as much information about it as she could gather. She hoped she'd get home before the Doctor woke, but she wasn't so lucky. 

Jackie did have breakfast ready with a note that she was sorry she wasn't there, but she had to go to work. The note mentioned that Rose was out, and should be home shortly.
