Even then they scarcely used creatures like dwarves. Zelda for the most part mostly dodged even any of that. Dark Souls as well. Look, I'm not trying to debunk any of you, I'll go in peace. Just as a writer, it is frustrating to see people make a new idea, but use a crunch as a means to establish a setting. Like... I get humans are supposed to usually be omnipresent in some form to take on some scope of realatability, but in fiction you should do more to make races rather than copy and paste. It just gives a sense of nervous if you don't, and nervous if you do. But... I dunno... It isn't about the race idea, it just seems entirely risk free. And to me that is boring.
