Did Sans find a medical text that was like... medieval medicine?  Because there's some weird stuff in there like using leeches to drain bad blood for any occasion or grinding up emeralds to snort as a medicine (granted they did that with [i]a lot[/i] of stuff throughout history, it's just that the precious gems were more of a rich-person thing).
