After everyone was through with the course, Van decided to go for a little walk in between classes and went in the direction of the library. Once at the library he decided to read for a bit and that's when he heard the call for an assembly. Something must have been wrong and he had a bad feeling about it. He quickly headed in the direction and upon arriving he heard the announcement that several of the students had gone missing. This was a bad situation and it meant that there was something potentially dangerous going on at the school.

Van heard Bruce talk about forming a task force to search and rescue the kidnapped students and his mind quickly thought of Superman and how this would definitely help improve his image as a hero. He noticed that Superman was there as well and Van raised his hand.

"I'll join this task force" he said with confidence and hoped Kal was proud of him.

Rev was super excited to be in this school for heroes and he wanted more than ever to find some challengers to test his strength. He had been training as hard as possible to prepare himself for the hardships ahead and now he had to go the assembly that was called. Rev went the gathering of the students and faculty and listened to the announcement that five students had been kidnapped. His mind went alight with the thoughts of rescuing people and fighting the bad guys who had committed the crime. When Bruce Wayne asked for volunteers, Rev's hand shot up super fast and he grinned with pure excitement for his first mission.

"Me! Me! Me! I so want to help with this rescue mission!" he shouted waving his hand and almost jumping up and down with excitement. This was his chance to go and kick some butt and take a name for himself. The Steel Crane was going to rise and he would do all in his power to not fail.
