KINGDOM NAME: Foulkeor KINGDOM BANNER: GENERAL BIO: Foulkeor is a divided land of steep mountains and thriving tall tree forests. Vast mines and endless lakes are scattered all over the land, which is uneven geographically and politically. The Capital of Veiun sits upon the broken peak of a great mountain, Deur, whose cap was said to be chiselled flat by the God Horth. It's thick defences are forged iron, dragged from its own stony stomach depths below. The Abyss, the largest of all mines in Foulkeor, is a kilometre wide and sits at the centre of the capital city. The forges smoke through day and night, the heat is diverted to serve the people and energise the blue councils laboratories. The Kingdom is divided into 25 holds, each with an independent hold leader, called a Heldett. These leaders represent one of three political parties. They are the Grey Picks (commerce/capitalism), Iron Fists (military might/martial law) and Blue Leafs (magic/nature). The King of Foulkeor is Heldett Burnouqe, a fiercely large man, grizzled by age and matured with time. He, as all Kings or Queens, was elected by the people and the other Heldetts. Each political group challenges the contenders for the crown, often tasks centred around their ideologies. The Kingdom is ruled over by the King/Queen, but decisions are made annually by the entirety of the Heldetts in the Chamber of Duer, a vast underground cave, designed to resemble a grand council court. Here issues are discussed and if a conclusion is not found by the majority, each Heldett votes. The Kings vote counts as three others. Culture: For the most part, the people of Foulkeor are diplomatically adapt and respect between groups is maintained through both necessity and companionship. Strength against common issues and societal adaptation is common. However, their are some groups who are openly against all others, such as the Iron Fists. Religion: Foulkeor has, for as long as any can recall, worshipped the memory of the dead Gods. Powerful entities who are now deceased because of the coming of the new Gods. Greed and Selfishness are new Gods, paid tribute to by a growing few. Retirement comes with death or early removal, if a soldier no longer wishes to serve they must have an alternate profession to undertake. Inside a single white moon with many silver lines depicting rays an followers dot the space between the inside moon and outside gold. GENERAL BIO: The Dry Land were found in a wet world of rapid storms, foggy temps and tantrum weather. Mud grab the boots of nomads of all colors, sinking horses and men alike to their graves. Fragments from the distant tribal skirmishes lie swallowed by marshes from decades ago. The Dry Land was founded by an empire that slowly absorbed the divided human tribes and states with its massive architectural feats and strong agriculture. The kingdom is made up of 3 walls, each separating the classes and laborers. At the center lies religious, cultural and formal palaces and buildings of great majesty. Many of which lack opulence bur make up for it by their stunning size and mind bending complexity of designs. To stand the soggy foundations and outside aggression, its building design is well experienced. The inside have specially constructed roofs and windows to artificially cater to their crops, but outside the nobles and masters the lower classes feel the bite of seasons for their food supply. All men are conscripted into the army. All duties are assigned. Women, men and children are tasked with learning arts and history. Making Dry Land educated for the time. Mostly, only in decorative arts. If you do not fight, you grow. If you do not grow, you weave, paint, knit, arrange flowers, sing. This tight society means that the towns, even poor ones are over flowing with art, music and decorations. Culture: The general attitude is one of disgust to hedonism. Artistic expression of body are encouraged but mostly men and women are covered up, sometimes to the extreme. The over flow of art has devalued it commercially. Making society manufacture art in a time where mass production of wallpaper, paintings and books are hard. They care about face, loyalty and abstracts. Rebellions against kings are never called "rebellions" but "restoring the true king" hunger take a back seat to support. Religion: As a whole, the religion they follow is Kimizi.
