I probably would've done something like that myself if I wasn't prioritizing my own project; I don't think my story could possibly be fit into the format of an RPG, honestly. I've thought about it in the past, but a video game like Xenogears makes it all too apparent what happens if you try to make a video game out of a story that's just too big for that form of media. Not that Xenogears isn't a great game, since it is, but you get my point; video games can only go so far with storytelling, just like a lot of other mediums.
