[b][color=#009999]Life Before The Apocalypse[/color][/b] Mercurial, the eldest child of Belladonna and Javier Crypt, has always had a perhaps peculiar obsession with psychopaths and the dead. While her mother's area of interest was more with dark magic, and her father was cursed by the Aztecs, Mercurial's childhood heroes were Lizzie Borden and Jane Toppan. Her drawings horrified her teachers, especially when she depicted a many times great-grandmother being burned at the stake for witchcraft. And let's not even talk about the one time she went to summer camp...

Needless to say, Mercurial fit in rather well with the Crypt family. Playing Wake the Dead and with her electric chair were childhood hobbies of her that she has carried into adulthood. In fact, according to certain reports on file with the Seattle PD, Mercurial is suspecting as being behind a string of homicides occurring in 2011. Of course, there's no evidence behind that. She isn't sloppy with her work. 

Most girls of her age would have left home already, and Mercurial is contemplating the idea. However, she is content for now to continue sleeping in her childhood coffin. There truly isn't anywhere else for her to go where she'll be accepted, a fact that Mercurial realizes. And the last institutions for trained killers-- the only decent ones in her opinion -- were already shut down.

She can find her parents to be suffocating and downright disgusting, but all loving parents want their children to die from asphyxiation one day. She understands it's merely the depth of her feelings. And beyond that, she does have a decent friend in town, a silly girl incarcerated for fourteen homicides. She can't just leave Jaina behind without slipping the girl a razor blade, now can she? That'd be awfully rude.
