You probably ment this as a joke, but it seems childish and in poor taste. You don't make fun of someone when they are trying to make a point, no matter how ridiculous the subject may seem. Its rude and immature. I laid out my point of view, and your reaction seemed to be "Ahahaha, whatever." 

Now I like cracking jokes, as you can probably tell, and I'm not offended in any way but I ask that you give some thought to how the other person might feel before you make fun of them like that.
