Wait he's really gonna survive that in fighting form, despite being in the epicenter with the suppression aura sapping his resistance almost in half? What manner of creatures is this thing lol
While Malakaus will survive, he's not going to be in top shape to fight. His armor saved him from dying at the price that most of his melted onto him, and that smarts. His magic resistance saved him from the magical burning and the aura sapping, and his armor from the physical damage, but he'll need some time to r&r if he wants to fight at full strength. Of course if anyone wants to pick a fight with him now he'll oblige. Malakaus is that tough; he's survived death (and beyond) more times then he cares to count. Also the other reason he's forming the posse, since he's in no shape to hunt Mithril down himself right now. Even with Atisha's help healing him. But justice never sleeps, and Malakaus can't rest knowing that Mithril is still out there in the city, terrorizing the people. Plus, he figures that Mithril isn't doing so hot himself, though Malakaus is unaware of Mithrils rapid healing. But all the more reason Malakaus needs to find him now, ya? Fortunately aside from being shaken up, Atisha is still in top shape. And while Malakaus is a better fighter, Alisha is a better tracker. The city is unfamiliar to her, but with the right materials even she could track down Mithril in the city. Of course the irony isn't lost on me that the two should be more concerned about the sword, but while Atisha could tell there is some bad juju coming from it, frankly she's more concerned about the psychotic pyromancer that's still loose in the city, as is Malakaus. The sword is, at best for the two of them, bait to draw Mithril into a trap, since it seems ornate and magical enough that he would want it back.
