Lol, oh man... As a high level fighting game player myself who just happens to hate the FGC (it's mostly hype, and they delude themselves into thinking that only the players who compete are the top players), I feel like if I wrote this anime it would be a severe deconstruction of the FGC in a lot of senses.

Anyway, you do realize you're more or less suggesting DiveKick: The Anime, right?

Honestly kind of surprised anime hasn't gone there yet... Not a bad idea, given that the goal is to be weird. It's also not out of the ordinary for people to think their own ideas are really epic even if they're not to others, simply because other people won't imagine it how it was envisioned being pulled off or the thought put into it.
