Ark, has spent years crafting it into the scariest experience imaginable. Only the truly brave will dare enter. His chilling challenge is this : last one night without running away in terror. If you do : a mysterious prize awaits. If you don't.... well that is what the waiver is for. The circus takes no responsibility for what may happen after you leave.

So this is a horror rp about an evil circus whose residents consume the souls of unfortunate patrons. Once their victim's soul is consumed, the person is not dead per say, they simply lose their will to live. They move and act in a zombie-like state, not eating drinking or sleeping until they finally commit suicide. The rule : the creature/demon must scare the person before they can consume the soul. Now I don't mean scream or heart pounding adrenaline kind of scared that most people enjoy. I mean the deep primal fear that scars a person. Only at that point is the soul weak enough to be taken.

1. I decide when a victim is scared enough for you to take their soul. If I like your post, that means the soul is yours for the taking, or you can play with them a little longer... up to you. If I don't react to your post at all, work harder to scare your target.

2. No OP characters. Not all people will be easy marks and not all will be hard marks. People who are easy to scare have weaker souls, people who are hard to scare have strong souls and are therefore more desirable. You want strong souls? You will have to work for it.

3. Make whatever kind of creature or demon you want. The only restrictions are they must have a human looking appearance they use around people and they must have a job at the circus. D. Ark does NOT put up with freeloaders.

4. Your characters may be dicks but in the OOC I expect to see respect for each other. No picking apart posts or characters, no bullying, no targeting, no ganging up on people, no arguing. If you have an issue with a player, either come to me in PM or go to the person in PM. The OOC is for RP discussion, not arguments.

5. I reserve the right to add more rules should they be needed.

6. You can make a potential victim if you want, but be aware of their weaknesses. If you write them as a weak character, then they will lose their soul quickly. If their soul is taken they have the opportunity to appeal to D. Ark for a chance to survive (via him granting them a soul-like essence) by joining the circus. They will then become like the other creatures in the circus and will have to find a job and start taking souls.

7. D. Ark is my character. If you want a history with him approach me and ask.

8. I run a free-form rp atmosphere. What this means is I don't explain every little thing. This allows for the rp to grow and evolve. If someone has a suggestion for an event that can change the very foundation of the circus, please by all means share it! I am not rigid in the slightest. But also do not be upset if I reject the idea if I believe it will not work.
