As a long time RP player in Tabletop Games as a player and Game Master of rpg ranging from D&D, White Wolf's portfolio World of Darkness, Cyberpunk, ect. I had to be aware of my players and see to it that they felt as if they were contributing to the game so they'd continue to show up to the table. I also encouraged my players to interact so as to build a sense of community. I know online forum RP seem a bit more sterile because you aren't sitting there across from people but in the end we all share a love for storytelling and when anyone leaves because they grow tired of solo posting it limits our available pool of players and slows the guild. Sorry for rambling but thought I'd post my feelings and experience on the issue
