He's often noted as suave and very confident, if not, overconfident. It's not so much the things he says, but rather the tone they're delivered in. Emmanuel has a tendency to stop conversations in dead halt with dry, and depressingly ironic one-liners. Not only that, but he is known for making vaguely inappropriate comments in the same manner. Surprisingly enough, he hasn't received too much backlash for it. Being told what to do for a chunk of your life really makes a person dislike authority, especially when that authority is commanding you to engage in life risking combat. It wasn't so much the violence that put Emmanuel off; he always had a strong stomach for that sort of thing, and the adrenaline rush he received from military service was exhilarating. It was the fact that someone else was telling him to do it without any other choice. In that sense, he is quite cynical and tends to follow his own route in life with a very "don't tread on me" attitude. Emmanuel generally comes off as exhausted considering his age and being a retired military veteran. Because of this, he is most commonly lighthearted if not anything else. In terms of quirks and mannerisms, Emmanuel tends to kiss his teeth when he wants to portray a few different feelings. This can lead to some confusion because he does this when he is unsure, disappointed, angry, or even dumbfounded. It's something most people have picked up on from knowing him for an extended period of time, though it's rarely brought up with him. Overall, Emmanuel can be thought of as too goofy if he's in the right mood, or too serious depending on the context. L I K E S √ Guns. Emmanuel is what you might consider in modern times to be a "gun nut". He has an avid interest in firearms and supports protecting the right to bear arms. √ Smoking/Drinking. Specifically chain smoking. For that reason, most of Emmanuel's clothes smell like ashes. Typically you can find him with a crudely rolled tobacco cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth. As for drinking, who doesn't? √ Freedom. This one has always sort of been a given. Emmanuel understands the value of hard work and the rewards that come with it. √ Deep thought. Emmanuel is fairly philosophical and tends to drift off when he's alone. From time to time he'll zone out, and it's often confused with post-war stress symptoms. Some people have said that the war threw him for a loop, but really he's just thinkin'. √ Theatre. Emmanuel never wanted to be an actor, but he's always had a place in his heart for a good show. D I S L I K E S ✘ Worrywarts. What a buzzkill. If you ain't ready to enjoy yourself, then stay home. ✘ Traitors. Know who your friends are. An act of treason is of the most lowly you can commit. ✘ People prying or nagging. Live and let live. ✘ "The Mexicans". I'unno. Might have been the influence his parents had on him growing up, but he's never liked Latino's. Despite this, he's never been outwardly aggressive or violent towards them either (unless they instigated it). Spanish Mustang.
B I O G R A P H Y Life wasn't all that hard growing up. Emmanuel was an only child born into a middle class family in good ol' Virginia state on October 3rd, 1837. His mother was a stay at home kind of gal, and his father was the towns doctor. It was a fairly small settlement, but Emmanuel enjoyed it as it allowed room for the growth of nature and forestry, the same landscape he played in as a kid. At the age of 9, he was baptized by the towns bishop at the church and attended regularly afterword. By the age of 20, both of his parents had fallen ill and for about a year and during that time he was responsible for taking care of them. They passed subsequently, which left the already independent Emmanuel on his own for the rest of life's journey. Finding it hard to make ends meet, he joined an underground fighting racket that he went to often in order to get by. He became a notoriously good fighter and typically won every match he got into which in turn, brought him a lot of money and fame around town. On April 12th, 1861, the Confederation opened fire on Fort Sumter in South Carolina, sparking the civil war between Union States, and Confederate States. At this point Emmanuel was 24 and had been fighting for around 3½ years until one day the lawmen in his town staged an ambush on the fight he was having; putting him and many others into custody. For his crimes, he would be forced to enlist in the Confederate forces and engage in combat against the Union under the infamous General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson in the Second Corps, Army of Northern Virginia Regiment. He saw a great deal of bloodshed, some of which was very horrific. However, this never caused any great deal of disturbance toward him, but rather made his skin thicker. After the war, he came out a decorated veteran and decided to mount his horse and leave his hometown to travel out West in seek of opportunity. He became known as a very elusive figure wherever he stayed long enough to get to know the people around. Nevertheless, he found himself tired as he aged and decided to retire in the town of Tombstone where he would use all the money he saved up from his lifetime and live in peace. Or would he?
