Booker wants her to have a future. She justs wants to die, that is literally the only reason she agreed to attend Xavier's school, Booker is not going to get through unless he can show her a reason to live, to endure the emotional pain, not to mention why she shouldn't be dead for committing murder (to her what happened to foster dad was murder).
