[@HaleyTheRandom][@NekoMizu] I probably shouldn't have said "combat mechanics"; more like I think RPG mechanics being implemented into a role-play basically ruin the depth and complexity of a battle and prevent a genuinely compelling "battle of wits" narrative from taking place, even more so when supernatural powers come into play. I've got a whole database containing thousands (probably; might be hundreds but I've lost track of them all) of notepads devoted to power-scaling all the "broken" (read: nearly everyone) characters in my project, so I know my shit when it comes to this stuff.
