His outdoorsy nature helped him out with this because he didn't waste much time inside using technology to further is philosophy on things. Years he spent attempting to take over the family farm before the news that Earth had a time limit much within reach than he expect. However, he knew that the life he dedicated himself too would prove useful in the new world. His parents, thankfully, passed before the impact who occur. Jethro had taken over the family farm up until he was 25. Schooling would be difficult with such a task that he felt inclined to attend too. Dodging child services and such for years may not have been smart of him but the farm was all he knew.

In his off time all he had were his bongos and the farm to his name. When the word of the NOAH II began to spread around his community, he was lucky enough to be one of the farms personnel of the project visited. They vetted him and made sure he would be a qualified candidate for the farmer's being sent out with the ship. Thankfully he passed the arduous process. However, even though he knew it would mean leaving his families farm he knew it would lead to his bloodlines survival. With the collection of his bongos and few keepsakes of the farm he would be off in no time. His next destination was always mentioned to him but all he could think about was his farming skills. Keeping himself in check so that he didn't fall behind for anyone once they reached their new "home".   [/color][/indent][/indent]

Where he stands he can only manipulate the earth within a 5 meter bubble. However, if he concentrates in one direction he can mold his surroundings up to 10 meters with a width of 1 meter.
