Ah, I see; that makes sense. This is the sort of information that I'd normally use research for, though since guns are not common (or to be more exact, not really useful) in my setting it's not something I've currently needed to look up. I suppose it was the mention of "energy" that confused me; if I hadn't been so multitasked I probably would've realized you meant kinetic energy. My own fault for overthinking things like I always do.
