Personality: Vanelope is a little scatterbrained and extremely clumsy. She's has a little trouble being in very large groups because she's also a little shy. 
Job: Potion Maker 

Family: Her family is out of town indefinitely. They are travelling the world for both business purposes and for the sake of travelling. She currently lives with one younger sister, Tiffany, and the house cat named Pumpkin. 

History: The Breatengale lineage is a long family line of witches and warlocks. They have a family business in brewing a wide variety of potions. They are most famous for their line of novelty potions called "Magic Pops". Vanelope has come of age to run a potion shop of her own, so she is sent to Alveria with the cat and her little sister to set up shop. She has been in Alteria long enough to purchase a house/shop and start her business. 

Marriage requirement: There are two things required her. First, the potential spouse must be introduced to Vanelope's parents. Second, the potential spouse must meet her father's approval. 

Other: Magic Pops are a family brand that's been worked on over several generations. They are a set of novelty potions that have different flavors and different temporary effects. Some effects that the potions induce are as follows but not limited to: giving you a funny voice, making you taller, making you shorter, changing the color and/or length of your hair, turning you into an animal, turning you into an inanimate object, making you fatter, making you skinnier, being really carbonated to the point where air bubbles form in your belly faster than you can burp them out, giving you a sugar high, making you go slow-mo, and simulating the feeling of having a splinter stuck in your toe. The effects are entirely random, and usually only last for a minute or two.
