Another human that didn’t drag their feet and smell of decay, that was, but then again, these creatures, these zombies were not humans. Ashton had found that out the day she came home and her parents had been turned themselves. You had to shove all thoughts of these things ever once being human, ever having families, jobs, people who cared for them, straight out of that pretty little head of yours. The only thing they were out to do was to kill, and that made you have only one goal: survive. She took a deep breath, coming into the entrance of the town, scanning the streets for any sign of anyone or anything, a her streaked brown with dirt, the scratches on her legs visible due to her shorts. Ashton gave a quick look at her pet, Zeus, before looking back up again and spotting the school at the end of the street. Quickly picking up her pace, she would jog over to the building, opening the squeaking door, the sound making her bit her lip. Why could doors never be quiet? Making a stupid move she would say her first words in the town while getting a good grip on her bat. ”Hello. Anyone there?”
