[@NekoMizu] The rules thing is a lot more apparent when you find people who create the rather logical argument (an argument I myself use) that the game isn't even "balanced" at all in the first place if it has to have such an excessive amount of its content banned in order to be able to have a reasonable competitive community. As far as I'm concerned it's just a party game and shouldn't be taken seriously at tournaments due to that. The worst you usually get in a real fighting game is perhaps one or two banned characters (or moves) and it being illegal for players to choose stages on purpose instead of selecting random; that's about it. Every community does the bashing I just mentioned, but the bigger named the company is the more likely it has to have a very toxic community similar to what I just described in my last post. Mob mentality and popularity contests, as well as reliance on reputation or social position in the world, never result in anything but the poisoning of the human consciousness. Pretty much; there's good eggs and bad eggs in every bunch. Nothing I've been saying in these posts was meant to be universal, but rather was just my own experience and I don't hate a specific community for those things; I simply have no desire to be part of a herd.
