Through a stationary, street security camera Talos could see it: a red double decker bus had apparently gone rogue. Linking from feed to feed, he could tell it was out of control. Its hefty horn blared obnoxiously as it sped passed stops and sometimes over the curb. It was as if someone or something was taking it for a joy ride. Pedestrians screamed in terror at its approach, some running from its path while others dove out of the way. Unwilling to find out where the wayward transit was headed, Talos gave chase, directing his metallic arm to the nearest rooftop. The portion on the underside of his forearm shifting to reveal his grapple launcher. With a loud bang, a high strength line shot out of the launcher, latching onto said roof before Talos reeled himself skyward in a burst of speed to his destination. Dashing from rooftop to rooftop, the android set a course to intercept the bus, which had just burst through a line of abandoned cars and steamrolled over a chain-link fence. At the point of interception, he jumped down onto the bus, latching on with his arms, fighting to stay on despite the vehicle's erratic movements. Talos smashed his right arm through the ceiling of the second floor, his fist opening to reveal the white hacking circle in his palm. While the occupants inside were panicking, the pale machine linked up with a passenger's phone in the first floor, as they were recording what appeared to be a driver-less cabin, the driver having escaped with some of the other riders before the doors shut themselves, trapping everyone else inside. Talos worked his way to the left side where the two doors were, repelling down with his grapple as he descended next to the one closest to the back. With his left hand, he grabbed the door frames and strained only slightly as he ripped each off one by one, tossing them to the wayside. "What the bloody hell?! Who are you?!" a disgruntled gentleman exclaimed, his sentiment similar to his fellow bus goers. "Stay calm. Everyone may need to jump off the bus," Talos stated, his voice raised only to be heard over the roaring sound of the rebellious bus and surrounding chaos. "You can't be serious?! We must be going three times the speed limit!" a young woman pointed out. Talos paused, curious that this was such as issue. Injury was a possibility. But in the face of almost certain death, it would only be logical to take that risk. By rolling when they land, it would surely decrease the likelihood of serious harm. At any rate, it would seem that the passengers were unwilling to comply unless extra action on his part. "I will attempt to slow the bus. Please guide everyone from the second floor downward and standby." After climbing to the next door set at the front and likewise ripping them off, Talos climbed to and ran across the roof of the bus, sliding down to the rear bumper and gripping onto it, his feet skidding across the paved street. Aiming his right arm towards the sidewalk, his deployed his line, which wrapped around a pair of bollards. Trying to prevent a catastrophic event, Talos continually fed more and more line, the bus gradually decreasing its speed. The tension in the cable, the bollards and his limbs mounting, the bus turned a corner, the line bending as well. Fortunately the bus's occupants began to hastily disembark from both exits in an orderly enough manner, all things considered. For several vital moments, more and more people jumped to relative safety, during which time Talos was running out of line. All he could do was brace himself against the building force that would have easily ripped most people's arms out of their sockets until, in a single act, the rear bumper was torn from the back of the bus just as the two bollards were violently yanked off the sidewalk, the rear wheels of the bus jutting off the street a full two feet before crashing down again. Talos sprawled on the ground, the grapple cord steadily receding into his robotic arm. It was then that he received the order from Nightwing after the appearance of members of the Order. The bus now stationary, everyone Talos had rescued now began to encircle him. "I say... are you alright?" one of them said. "I am still operational," he said neutrally, getting to his feet, left hand wringing his right wrist. "Everyone needs to get to safety. I will attempt to clear the way."
