Maggie didn't know how long she wanted to watch the news say the phrase over and over again: "Mystery Inc. broken up?" "Abandoned, or vanished?" "No trace left behind...." It has already become an irritation, and these said-phrases were false, but she didn't know how to sleep at night while it pesters her mind. The gang has disappeared; even worse, her brother was gone. Poof! Gone... Him and his other best friend, Scooby Doo. The dog that she herself grew fond of, ever since he "adopted" him. Sure, Shaggy fed him most of the time, or at least that's what it looked in technical terms: just by eating out of the fridge. However, with him being a part of Mystery Incorporated, Shaggy rarely comes home, so his little sis had to deliver his favorite appetites onto their doorstep. Like that one time where she sent him their mother's lasagna, and stayed to share with the rest of the gang. A friendly get-together, that's all. The past couple months have never been the same since then. How could she complain to the police that the gang wouldn't just up and leave? They already couldn't explain why, or how, but Maggie begged them to differ. So, for that, she had to find out for herself. Silently, with her running jacket and an over-the-shoulder mini bag, containing a mini-flashlight, she snooped herself over towards their headquarters, almost tripping on the risen parts of the sidewalk the whole way. Getting herself in front of the dark, foggy glass doors, Maggie looked behind herself cautiously, before managing to pull out her flashlight. Fiddling with the knob, it was still locked down tight, and she registered the circumstances surrounding it: perhaps authorities made a u-turn to scan the place over one more time, and locked it? What if there was someone inside, stealing one of their prized possessions? Hopefully not the Scooby Snacks, Maggie thought before stepping back, and went around the building, hoping to find a window she could use to cautiously slip inside. She figured that if Shaggy ever hid somewhere, it would either be the kitchen, or somewhere where he and Scooby would snoop around, which would indeed be the kitchen. So for that, she finally found a window that appeared to be slightly cracked open. She didn't know where it led, but at least inside the building. Quietly lifting the parchment, Maggie managed to lift herself into the foundation, almost falling inside.
