Reminds me of an RP I wrote up called Phony House which was the story of how an Emperor ordered that the Eldest of two warring families must marry to stop their fighting trouble is that on the day he ordered it the eldest unmarried son of one family died leaving only his young Sister to be offered to follow the command trouble was that the other family only had female heirs. The Emperor couldn't rescind his command or lose face and the command of the Emperor must be followed forcing an odd situation. Add to this that land had been offered as a dowry for one female as tradition demanded it had to been matched by the other......
