And again, they're just minding their own business. What Sapphire wants to do with those weapons are her business until it directly involved Gren and Shiro. 

Consider the effectiveness of it then, and morale and such. Has Sapphire's approach gained the respect and confidence of her team? Can she feel the same about them? Because let me tell you, based on the last two missions in sure everyone is Team Swansong is questioning Sapphires competence. First she rushes, alone, deep into unknown territory where she was nearly defeated by Pops, then she turns what was suppose to be a scouting mission into a direct assault on an enemy who she couldn't possibly attack on her own anyways (water phobia and all) and still ended up as a liability when she chose to fight near the water where she could be knocked into by pretty much anything. If that's her being professional, maybe you'd see why people have problems with her.
