Olivie Carreau – Feyhollow Town Main Square If an evening in Feyhollow felt magical in the ominous, deceptive sense, then the morning embodied all of magic's wonderment, freedom, and purity. Refreshing gusts of cool air carried birdsong from the trees through the town, and the rays of red, orange, and gold just beginning to peek over the horizon prepared to turn the murky pre-sunrise landscape into a world of dazzling green adorned with flowers of every conceivable color. Olivie took it all in from the center of Feyhollow, noting the charming rustic flavor of the wooden houses that blended remarkably well with the nature that surrounded them. In suburbs, the grass and trees could be quite nice, but they did not approach the organic feeling of a place allowed to be nearly overrun. After she breathed deeply in, Olivie's heart surged with excitement. Today, the promise of adventure shone more bright and tantalizing than ever. ”Haaaah,” she sighed, causing her Pokemon, who'd been in various states of enchantment, to look back at her. ”Beautiful day for a beatdown or two! Or three. Right?” Her Karrablast shifted nervously, and while neither Buck the Bidoof nor Gespenst the Cacnea gave an indication of their worry, they felt almost as concerned. Their trainer had told them to follow her right after breakfast, which gave each of them the impression of some kind of trial in store. With Olivie, any kind of test invariably involved combat, but two-thirds of her party combined their apprehension with curiosity and even a seemingly oxymoronic eagerness. ”So first things first,” the brunette began, seating herself cross-legged on the grass and slouching forward. ”Karrablast, I thought of a name for you. It comes from the same place as my last name, Carreau. From now on, I'm calling you Verrine. 'Kay?” Her question came more as an inquiry for affirmation that the blue beetle heard, rather than asking whether or not she liked the name. ”Second things, second, we're about to have a little fun. As your trainer, it's my responsibility to make sure you guys get stronger, and to do that, I need to know who needs the most help. So we're gonna have a three-way free-for-all! This is not only gonna improve team cohesion, and hopefully get you more experience, but also help your self-control. I learned in kickboxing that self-control is the most important thing a fighter can learn! So I'm gonna sit right here, and your battle will take place around me. If you hit me, I hit you. Fair's fair, right?” Her Pokemon didn't know quite what to think. Perhaps they, being animals, didn't understand her completely, but they knew that they were in for a battle. One by one, Olivie positioned them in triangle formation around her, each about ten feet away from her body. Every one could see its two opponents clearly, but the nineteen-year-old remained in view at all times, her presence reminding her team to control themselves lest they be punished. The coming sunrise lent the entire scene an air of drama. All three tensed up, ready to brawl.
