Wow. That article just fed my imagination. I don't know about you, but the hatter that I'm thinking of is a cross between a murderous mental patient, and and a wonderfully disturbing lovechild between Ann Rice's character, Lestat, Marilyn Manson, and a Wendego. 
I kind of like my version better than Disney's O.e
