Shaking off the sludge with a furious hiss, the Ekans lunged at Treasure. The Trubbish squealed as the wild Pokemon bit. Standing by the pit, Ella tensed. A trickle of gunk bled from the Trubbish's wound, but she still wasn't backing away.

Another snake slithered forward, teeth bared. [color=hotpink]"Again, Sludge!"[/color] Ella called. The force of the sludge jet sent the Ekans skidding backwards, writhing and spitting. While Treasure was distracted, though, the first Ekans saw its chance. It darted past all three Pokemon, towards Vivian, poised to strike.

Ella had only a second to react. Grabbing a Pokeball, she flung it down the hole. As the Pokeball hit its target, it opened and trapped the Ekans. Watching it rock, Ella dug her nails into her palms. A few drawn-out moments passed. Then, it stopped.

Ella gave a sigh of relief, but it wasn't over yet. There were still more, their hisses filling the air.
