I want to escape everyone's post-election griefs so badly, but everyone seems so convinced that it's more of a big deal than it is that it is literally everywhere. There was a march in this city where people were going down streets and cheering for Trump, the KKK, and "Fascist USA". Sarcastic or not, I have no idea, but it is maddening either way. There are protests against the completely fair election that took place. There are Republicans who can't seem to stop throwing fuel on the fire, and there are Democrats who foolishly blame the electoral college for Hillary losing without actually understanding why the electoral college is a good thing. I've seen people say that third party voters have to "sit in a corner and shut up for the next four years" for "wasting a vote" and countless other ignorant and infuriating things. I just want to move on, but it's like trying to breathe underwater.
