[@TheWindel] I presume there are still outposts and villages around them to gather raw resources. Unless that too has been handed over to machines with like, giant crawling strip mining vehicles that slowly trawl along and rip off the crust of an entire planet for raw material..

And that sounds kinda boss and right up the Machina alley now that I think about it. A future battle should involve a repurposed one of those.
