Did you mean: stream of consciousness?  I do that too -- or rather, I write as if I'm talking when it's for the purpose of a conversation.  I also make use of multiple messages when using a real-time medium, which is a habit I didn't have originally but picked up from others like five years ago, maybe a little less.  Now I can't get rid of it.  -.-;;

The notes in my brain are a bit like yours -- except several dozen topics.  x.x  And I'm with you, while I excelled at school up to my meltdown in high school, if I wasn't interested learning it is hard.  Somehow I managed to be interested in just about anything, if it was for school, up until the aforementioned meltdown.
