[@floodtalon] Well, here's the thing. Why would the machina ever design and deployed EMP weapons that could only be used to hurt their own faction? For disabling and capturing traitors, maybe. But you'd never deploy such a risky weapon unless you had a countermeasure.

That's my backstory reason they discontinued Miyu's Daimyo mech... Because a mech designed such that it's best at fighting Machina is a really horrendous waste of resources and would be dangerous if it fell into enemy hands.

As far as effect if it hit directly, I'd imagine it takes out the wings and sensors. The fusion reactor would probably be hardened, lest Machina forces explode every time someone EMPs them.

Put another way, if we rule EMPs go through Machina shields... Miyu's going to render the Machina forces half-irrelevant in every battle from now on by turning her mech into an EMP missile delivery engine.

Unless she ends up on their team at the end of the battle, which is now suddenly a possibility, apparently. O_o.
