Guys, thoughts on the Myer Briggs test?
There are narrow uses for it when doing some research, but there are three major flaws that get overlooked often. 1. It does not analyse the nuances of personality. It just provides a few buckets to categorise people. Two people that land in the same quadrant could be completely different. 2. It's a survey, not a brain scan. Interpret your results with that in mind. You'd often get much better picture of someone by interviewing them yourself, even. 3. The wonderful world of management wank loves to overuse simple tools like this all the time, resulting in loads of really trashy research with unqualified results. Keep a critical eye open when reading articles. Otherwise, it's kinda neat to see where certain people fall. Also, as to your comment on being machines with limited ways of processing, I suggest you look up something called neuroplasticity. Management wank has polluted that area a bit as well, but it'll supplement your perspective like a nice seasoning.
