Ahnasha was grateful for the potion, given the nature of the ceremony. Even so, the sight of the hot ash on her heart to start beating faster. Fortunately, the oaths they were about to take took her mind off of it fairly quickly. Being that she did not follow the Reclamations as Fendros did, the words did not connect as deeply to her, but in terms of the bond between them, the meaning behind them was still just as strong. Once Fendros was finished with his oaths, Ahnasha too repeated each phrase after the priest. "Azura's light revealed you to me," "Mephala's webs spun us together," "Boethiah's sword cuts us free." "But not fire, nor frost." "Nor disease, nor famine." "Blood, oblivion, nor hardship and power shall force our souls asunder." "As long as I live, Fendros Avarul." "You are as I would care for my own soul." "This I swear, for all my ancestors to hear." "And the reclaimed tribunal that guides me, blessed they be." Ahnasha was of course still aware that all of her friends were watching, but for the moment, her attention was solely invested in Fendros, and the priest beside them. She could not help but to feel closer to Fendros than she had been in quite a while.
