James caught his shield as Charlotte tossed it back at him, and gave a grin. "Didn't know if you'd get your armor in time. Good to see you again, Charlotte." he said with a nod and smile, putting the shield back on the strap on his back, wincing a bit at the still fresh injuries on his back. The cut on his cheek had already healed, and he knew that his other injuries would follow suit. His gaze turned to Mark who made an entrance, then a new face who made an appearance. Judging by the suit, he was none other than Ben Poole, Miles Morales' protege. He knew he didn't have any real spider powers, but from what James has heard, he's shown potential in the academy and moved to the Next Avengers program quickly. As the two talked James moved his gaze towards the scrap metal now on the ground. "I don't think it was intentional. Maybe a new student getting excited and messing up one of their projects..." He said, looking at the group around him. The cough from behind James made him turn, and Nao was there, bowing his head, and his hands bleeding. "I don't think it was a training exercise, or if it was, Mr. Stark has gone a bit crazy threatening some lives. You're not the only one around here that has anger problems. Thanks for the help back there. James gave a smile and did his best to return a bow to him. He may not like his style of magic, but he still did a great deal to help. "Whoever did this hopefully was caught on camera in the cafeteria. And I hope it was an accident." As the crowd grew larger, more security drones came to try and calm the situation. One drone actually made its way towards James and the rest of them. "First day back and you've all already started trouble? Tony's not gonna be happy to hear that his flower beds in the lawn got totaled... Rogers, gather up anyone involved in this and bring them to the Hall of Heroes. We all need to have a talk. The voice was all too familiar to James. It was the Advanced Training Program's head instructor communicating through the drone. James nodded and looked at everyone with a shrug. "I can never tell if he's mad, amused, or both." He joked, watching the small group of them make their way towards the large tower. Before he moved he took one more glance around the courtyard to see the young boy who he had recently saved... well, he didn't know if he actually saved him. For all he knew, that young kid could have been more than capable of protecting himself. As he moved through the crowd towards the kid, he either got smiles, awkward giggles from girls who made eye contact with him, or glares. No doubt some people thought this was a plot by him to make himself look good in front of everyone... The boy looked just as afraid as ever as James approached, but he gave off a smile. "Hey... uh, I don't think I caught your name before. I'm James... you alright? This stuff doesn't happen all the time I promise. Our professor wanted anyone who was involved in that little thing come over to the tower. I'd like it if you'd join us... Just to make sure you're alright." James' voice didn't try to belittle the young kid, he tried his best to sound as normal as possible. He didn't want to embarrass the kid or offend him by talking to him as if he was a two year old.
