[@LostDestiny] Never apologize for ranting.  I'd rather you rant at me all day long then bottle it up for a second longer.  I know hitting an animal is hard, especially a pet, and I am sorry that happened to you.  It definitely takes a good while to stop thinking about.  It seems like when it rains it pours, so you can only hope when you fall asleep and start over tomorrow that it will be better.  Our minds go into overdrive on days like these.
